A New World Will Rise
It saddened me to hear more of escalating tensions in Middleastern, Russian and European countries. The debate on wether to intervene, perhaps bring a resolution, or perhaps make things worse, slowly gathers constintuants on either side. War is a word hanging on the lips of politicians, some who may want to play war games, some who are sympathetic, but at the end of a news day with all the debate, all the speculation; there are simply bodies in the ground.
It bothers me because this is 2013, and over the course of a decade we find ourselves facing the same, if not evergrowing, threats of global destruction.
I wanted my time on this world to be one of prosperity. A life where I could witness a new world dawn. It would be a simple world. People would talk, and listen, not shout and become enraged; where people would care about people. Petty squabbles for resources would be in the past, as corporate entities would focus efforts on global wellbeing, instead of executive luxury. I wanted to see a world where cultural differences were not used as ammunition in a pissing contest for world popularity, for power, or to be used as a reason for separating and segregating people. I wanted to see a world of transparency; where truth was self evident, and the people who told it would be rewarded. We wouldn’t let petty lies and half truth distort our trust, and mar our ability to see.
I believe this world is possible. I believe it is the responsibility of every sovereign individual to live their lives in a manner that contributes to a new world order.
I believe it is my responsibility to provoke change that helps illuminate the darkness and bring people together. I hope and pray that our selfish endevours inadvertently lead us to a new era where all human thought can be shared, identity can be found, and voices can be heard.
The violence, the unneccessary waste of life, and the destruction of homes and families will go away and life can prosper as it naturally is meant to in a ecosystem that is self sustaining; not self destructive.
So all the angry tension in the Middleeast, the dirty Concert junkies that trample and trash the world around them, the selfish, idiotic, selfie photos, I believe will fade away as intellect creates new innovation, that leads to better lifestyles, clean emmissions, renewable resources, and a world that is no longer afraid.
People, the person, the individual, will once again be the most important part of our society; and it is up to all of us to get there together.
